This app lets you create neat, vivid, high-contrast pictures using something called HDR photography.

In case you’re wondering…HDR = High Dynamic Range.

HDR Fusion snaps two photographs and then blends them together to create one vivid shot. In the first photo, it takes a photo that’s underexposed (too dark). In the second shot, it takes a photo that is overexposed (too bright). This way, it can capture the details lost in shadows, and record the parts of the image that were too bright.

The end result is one photo with a high dynamic range.

With HDR Fusion, you can let the app figure out how to expose the two images, or set the exposure points yourself in manual mode. The app also lets users save unaltered versions of photos.

Get the app here (iOS only).
